Terra was easily my favorite character in the show for several reasons: she was an extremely complex character by the show's standards, and even though she had super powers, she was vulnerable, more human to me than the other characters.
I agree! Very well said. She didn't have a black & white sense of justice like the others. She had fears, insecurities, and trust issues. I wish they had given her more screentime instead of that weird episode of a girl who looked like her...
I still think that was Terra, and that she remembers. But anyway, I know how Terra felt (okay, so I don't have any powers), feeling like you can't control yourself, and that if you lose control you'll hurt people.
Ah sorry for the late reply! I know.. I'm sad she didn't get much of a backstory. Wah.. I'm was so bummed when she was manipulated by Slade. And when she was rejected by BeastBoy, the only person she thought she could trust, I'm sure something in her broke.
The original Teen Titans cartoon ended after the fifth season. I believe this was in 2008 - long before I even knew it existed. When I began watching it, I didn't see the episodes in order, so a lot of the fine points of the story arcs were lost on me. Also, I liked Terra and found the emotional punishment she was put through pretty effective. The last episode featured a version of her apparently lacking powers and memories of her time as a Titan, and was a pretty poignant end.
In 2013, a reboot called Teen Titans Go was launched. It has a simplified art style and focusses more on comedy than on action or emotion. The upshot of this is that the characters from the original show are more or less wrecked. It's good for an occasional giggle, but if you were a fan of the old show for more than the voice actors (who have stayed on), you're quite likely to be disappointed.
like fma brotherhood, but they need to make a sequel series to show how terra got out and create a legend for red x and sloane....leaving on that episode of terra is harsh, especially after showing bb was sure sensitive, prob y he was so intruiged by 'stone hearted' raven
